Modern Maple

To allow the rich iridescence of Labradorite granite to take center stage, the rest of the kitchen was kept very straightforward and clean.  The simple arch of the Jerusalem stone cooktop wall is repeated in the curve of the counter-height eating bar, and a sine curve can be found in both the light fixture over the breakfast table and the refrigerator pulls.  In a small display area, reeded glass inserts were used to provide a glimpse of the forms inside the cabinets and reveal the merest sparkle of crystal.  The lower area was left open and lit to showcase some of the homeowners’ art glass collection.
