Luxurious Closet

An addition provided ample space for this luxurious closet.  The entrance to the closet exposes the home’s original exterior stone, which was matched and recreated on the new exterior wall, framing a full length mirror.

An island provides countertop, cushioned seating and storage.  The perimeter around the island features hanging storage, fully customized with pullouts for scarves, belts and valet rods.  Drawers and lighted display for shoes visually breaks up tall hanging storage cabinets.  Variety in the doors and hardware also helps to prevent the monotony of a room lined with doors.  Some of the hanging storage is concealed with mirrored doors, while others are lighted and semi-obscured with textured glass.

Lighting plays an important role to enhance the cabinetry and ceiling design.  Cove lighting behind the crown reflects a diffuse, soft ambiance from the tray ceiling.  While the majority of functional lighting comes from recessed cans and interior cabinet lighting, a luxurious mixture of sconces, pendants and a chandelier sparkle in crystal and gold.
